I Made it Thru Christmas

I know I am crazy for going on a diet the week of Christmas but I didn't want to put on any more weight before I started my diet. I consider myself 100% successful on Christmas Eve. I exercised and I think I stuck to 800 calories or less but can't be certain since Mom's spaghetti doesn't come with a nutrition label or barcode. I only ate a small portion of spaghetti though and did not eat any sweets.

Christmas Day was a bit more challenging. I was so busy playing with the kids that I didn't have time to exercise. I also didn't feel too good yesterday so it was a good day to skip the exercise component. Judging on how hard it was for me to work out today due to soreness, I doubt I could have done much yesterday. I did good on eating till dinner. I ate some turkey and a little bit of macaroni and cheese pie which wasn't too bad but I couldn't resist trying the desserts I made. I made a angel food cake using my grandmother's recipe for boiled white icing which was a huge challenge for me since I am not a good cook. I wanted to surprise my mom for her birthday. Her mom used to make it for her every year on her birthday. So of course I had to try a small piece to see how I did. I don't like to brag but it tasted pretty good even if it was ugly. I made mom take the rest of it home with her! I also had a small slice of buttermilk pie.

I do not plan on weighing myself except when I report to the clinic because I know scales are all different and your body's weight changes constantly so I don't want to mess with my head on a daily basis. Wii Fit did tell me this morning though that I had lost since the last time I played which was Christmas Eve morning. According to Wii it is 8/10 of a pound which is hardly anything(I could have peed that out) but I am thrilled that I didn't gain during those two days which I definitely would have if not on a diet.
